Radlof’s privacy and cookies policy: what we collect, which cookies we set and how to change your mind.

Radlof collects as little as it can: your email address if you sign up for the weekly email, visit counts from the site’s own first-party statistics, which set no cookie, and visit statistics from Google Analytics only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

What we collect

  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address and, optionally, the topic you picked. It is used only to send the weekly email. Unsubscribe with the link in any issue.
  • Site statistics: the site counts page views, referring sources, internal searches, clicks on outbound links, form submissions and page-speed measurements with its own first-party analytics. This measurement sets no cookie, sends nothing to Google and does not depend on the cookie banner.
  • Visit statistics, only with your consent: if you click Accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics counts which pages are read, where visits come from and what kind of device and browser are used. If you decline or ignore the banner, Google Analytics does not load and nothing is sent to Google.
  • No advertising trackers: Radlof runs no ad networks, no retargeting pixels and no social media trackers.

Changing your choice

Open Cookie settings at any time; the same link is at the bottom of every page. If you decline after accepting, Google Analytics stops loading and its cookies are removed from this site. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services; Google also offers an opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics.

Partner links

Some guides contain partner links, always marked. Clicking one may set a cookie on the partner’s site under the partner’s own policy.
